Building a mood or a sense of place has always been an integral part of my work. As a studio artist, my inspiration and reference points come from a background of creating through physicality and storytelling.

Dancer, choreographer, director, designer - each of those creative paths have direct through-lines to my current practice - energy in movement, composition, setting emotional tone and mood.

Though my current focus is on more tactile creations,  I continue to find power in the themes and subject matter that informed my prior work - those of memory and sentimentality, ceremony and daily ritual, talismans, objects and the ephemeral nature of the "stuff of life."
